3. Create a new Google Analytics 4 property

Follow the prompts to set up a new GA4 property. You must provide relevant information, such as your property name (name of your business, website or app), location, time zone and the currency you accept for website transactions. 

4. Enter your business details and objectives

Specify your industry or niche and business size according to your number of employees. Next, choose from a range of business objectives. Select the ones that matter to you. The system will use your selection to generate personalized reports later on.

5. Configure data collection settings

Choose where you want to send data to Analytics from. The options include your website, Android app and iOS app. Whatever option you choose, enter details to create a data collection tag you can add to that source. 

6. Install the tracking code

Once you create a property, a tracking code is generated. To set up Google Analytics for your website, copy and paste this tracking code into the HTML of your website’s pages just before the closing </head> tag.
